Your Future Tasks

  • Lead metocean scope – Act as focal point for all metocean conditions (waves, currents, water levels, ice, weather) and provide technical expertise across the project lifecycle.
  • Manage measurement campaigns – Plan, procure, and supervise metocean data collection (e.g., floating LiDAR, wave buoys, ADCPs) and contractor delivery.
  • Analyse and validate data – Process and interpret multi-source datasets (in-situ, hindcast, satellite, modelling) to derive design parameters and ensure quality.
  • Support design & project delivery – Deliver in-house metocean assessments feeding into engineering, T&I, feasibility studies, and site suitability (following IEC standards).
  • Own tenders & consultancy management – Define scopes (SOW/ERQ), run tender processes, manage consultants, and ensure delivery to quality, cost, safety and timelines.
  • Drive standards, QA & tools – Ensure regulatory compliance, QA of reports, certification support, and maintain methodologies, software, and internal best practices.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Oceanography, Meteorology, Marine Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in metocean analysis within the offshore wind, marine energy, or maritime infrastructure sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing metocean measurement campaigns and working with large environmental datasets.
  • Proficiency acquiring and working with common metocean data sets such as from ERA5, NOAA, CMEMS or HYCOM, or satellite altimetry.
  • Extensive experience in offshore wind metocean assessment, relevant calculations using Python or equivalent software and familiarity with relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into practical engineering insights.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and international teams.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
